"William Coleman doesn't need to make another fortune in
high-tech. He is 58 years old and--twice--has earned more than
enough money to retire. The first time came in 1993, when Coleman
was 45 and had just quit after eight years at Sun Microsystems. The
second time came a few years later, after he cofounded BEA Systems,
a $1.2 billion (sales) maker of Web software (known as Bill, he is
the "B" in BEA); in the bubble his net worth approached the
billion-dollar mark. Yet here he is, chasing another tech boom.
