"Previous file systems are beginning to show their age, and the future demands that would be placed on them could be crippling. It’s always helpful to innovate before a potential do or die situation presents itself, and that is why file systems are being created that appear to have almost unreachable limits. In acknowledging the fact that file systems need to be improved now rather than later, Apple has begun to implement Sun Microsystems ZFS file system into recent build of its forthcoming Leopard OS."
