"One trend worth noting was CEO Jim Whitehurst's repeated defenses of Red Hat's model as both sustainable and defensible. In light of both Red Hat's sustained financial success and its overall size, I thought it odd that such a focused explanation would be necessary. In answer to my questions on the subject, one explanation offered was the audience, the majority of which were financial analysts that still might not grasp the concept of F/OSS."
