Remotely Accessible Virtual Desktops

"Virtual desktops in Linux are great for remote working (accessing the office from home) and for administering and supporting remote computers. A single server at the office can host virtual desktops for several remote workers.

"This recipe is for Debian-based Linux distributions, including Ubuntu and Linux Mint.

"I'll assume that you have previously installed the SSH and VNC server software packages together with a lightweight desktop such as Xfce and have also configured the computer and router for remote access as described in the previous recipe Remote Access in Linux ."
