The Debate About Linux System Settings
Jul 27, 2011, 14:00 (2 Talkback[s])
"Lets ignore the fact that it's such a ridiculously minor thing
and that only petulant children would waste more than 30 seconds
coming up with some form of compromise. The true issue here is why
on Gods green earth would you ever even conceive of having a system
where you can have two items called 'System Settings' which are
entirely unrelated existing on one system at the one time with who
knows what sort of conflicts and problems?
At what point did anyone think this could possibly be a good
idea? Anyone who was even briefly acquainted with the term
'Usability' would facepalm at the slightest suggestion of this.
