Eolos Technologies sued Microsoft Tuesday for infringement of patent covering technologies enabling web browser plug-ins. Windows 95, Windows 98 and Internet Explorer are alleged to be in violation. No comment on whether Netscape will be sued. "The company said in a statement its patent covers a version of such programs from Microsoft known as ActiveX Controls."
