Jul 07, 2000, 14:07 (1 Talkback[s])

"On the 22nd of June, the updating of XFree86 4.0 was announced,(the program responsible for the management of the graphic mode). Among other news, it counts on the graphic configuration developed by the Conectiva staff."

"This tool allows the user to perform several configurations in easy and practical form. Using only the mouse and keyboard, it is possible to move images from monitors to configure the physical "images of" monitors layout of a system with two or more monitors, configure devices and modelines, which are parameters that specify the speed at which the image on the screen is redesigned, among other functionalities."

"Whoever wishes to obtain this new version, can find information on the CVS (Concurrent Versions System) procedures at: http://www.xfree86.org/cvs. If you downloaded the Conectiva SRPM package, you will have an easier time using the source-code copy, since the CVS control directories are included in files of the XFree86 4.0."
