After having crossed over the 50,000-story mark earlier today, it seems unusual that you get another announcement the same day.
But the truth is, with the holidays upon us, it's time to announce that as of tomorrow, Christmas Day, Linux Today will be going to vacation mode until Monday, Jan. 5, 2004.
Vacation mode, for those new to Linux Today, is when we slow down the main news feed and only put out the most important breaking stories, security announcments, and kernel releases. It is not a complete shut down, as the news in the Linux world never really stops.
Talkbacks will still be monitored and posted, albeit at a slower rate. There will also be a couple of surprise posts towards the end of the year, so stay tuned for those.
As you celebrate the holidays that surround us or the new year to come, may you and your loved ones have joy and happiness. And do what I tell you every year: turn off this computer you're looking at right now every once in a while and go be with family and friends.
