[ Thanks to William Kendrick for this information. ]

This August marks the 13th birthday of the Linux operating system, and to celebrate, local Linux user groups are throwing the 4th annual Linux Anniversary Picnic & Barbecue ("Picn*x13")!

When: Saturday, August 7th, 2004 -- 11am to 4pm
Where: Sunnyvale Baylands Park, Sunnyvale, California
Cost: FREE! Please RSVP

All members of the Linux community are invited and encouraged to bring their friends and family. Picn*x13 is organized as a family event, so pack the kids in the minivan and head on over. The park has a great play area, full restroom facilities, nature trails, and plenty of lush, grassy fields for soccer, frisbee, bocce, horseshoes, etc.

Details are at: www.LinuxPicnic.org

Picn*x13 is being organized by: SVLUG, sbay.org, EBLUG, LUGOD, PenLUG, BALUG and SacLUG, and is sponsored in part by: Atheros Communications, Sonic.net, Open Country, and Richard Mancusi.
