"I was perusing one of my usual Linux fora and found yet another diatribe against Microsoft. This particular one had to do with Microsoft's take on security [Linux vs Windows], highlighted with this link, followed by the usual invective-laden, inane and rabid posts. One in particular got my attention, ending with '...becasue their OS is complete disaster.' Misspellings aside, I have to take issue with this comment (okay, here's where the fur starts flying):

"Linux and personal computers in general would not be where they are today if Microsoft's OS(es) were a 'complete disaster...'"
