"Western European companies have a high adoption rate of
open-source software, according to a recent survey from market
intelligence and advisory firm IDC.
"Use of open-source software was found to be particularly high
in databases and operating systems, with one-third of respondents
reporting 'significant live use' of open-source databases..."
