"The first day of LinuxWorld is traditionally a slow one,
devoted to tutorial tracks and vendor-setup. I got in around noon,
but didn't bother to rush over to the Moscone Center. Instead, I
got settled in at my hotel and wandered over to the area around six
for the Red Hat cocktail party/briefing being held over at the W
Hotel, a LinuxWorld fixture for parties.
"The audience seemed composed at least 50% of Red Hat PR folks
and invited speakers, with the occasional press person or analyst
sprinkled in for flavor..."
