"Check Point Software Technologies and Sourcefire have a history
of working together, but last week's announcement that Check Point
plans to acquire Sourcefire has some open source users a bit
nervous.
"Check Point, pending regulatory approval, is expected to
complete the Sourcefire acquisition early in the first quarter of
2006 for about $225 million, according to the company's Manager of
