"A wee while ago, I wrote an overview of video editors in linux.
In reviewing the higher profile video editors for linux, I somewhat
passed over an application saying this about it:
"'kdenlive looks to be progressing well, however, it has a
dependency on a package called MLT. To test the latest version of
kdenlive, you need a cvs version of MLT. Often I'll go out of my
way to test bleeding edge software, however, given that there are
other options in this category, I haven't had the inclination to
compile the MLT libraries to test kdenlive...'"
