surrender rights to their hack of Cyber Patrol
filter and agree to permanent injunction."
"The defendants, both of them programmers --
one Swedish, the other Canadian -- agreed
Monday to abide by permanent injunctions
preventing them from distributing their software,
which allows users to bypass Cyber Patrol filters.
They also agreed to turn over rights to their
software to Microsystems."
"The fate of those mirror sites is still in question.
While Monday's settlement effectively ends the
original suit -- Microsystems has agreed to drop
its case against the defendants' Internet service
providers -- Judge Edward Harrington has not yet
determined whether the original restraining order
applies to the mirror sites."
