[ Linux Today reader Jerry Fass writes: ] "Another open source software .org website went online this week. Ruby-lang.org is the lead website for Ruby, a new, free, open-source, interpreted, object-oriented scripting language for quick and easy object-oriented programming, from Japan. It has many features to process text files and do system management tasks, as in Perl, and is simple, straight-forward, and extensible. If you want a language for easy object-oriented programming, or you don't like PERL inelegance, or you like the concept of Lisp, but dislike many parentheses, Ruby is a good option. Fast-growing language: Japan now has more Ruby users than Python users. Many useful programs and utilities already exist for Ruby. Ruby-lang.org: http://www.ruby-lang.org/."
