:MSNBC.com: Linux Today Readers Rule!
MSNBC.com: Linux Today Readers Rule!
Sep 15, 2000, 15 :13 UTC (40 Talkback[s]) (22016 reads)

(Other stories by Kevin Reichard)

The poll is still ongoing, but Linux now has surged into first place in an MSNBC.com online poll to determine their readers' favorite operating system. Linux rules with 35 percent of the vote, followed by Windows NT/2000 with 22 percent, BeOS with 21 percent, and the Mac and Windows 95/98/ME bringing up the rear with 11 percent each. This despite the fact that some very sloppy HTML coding makes it difficult for some Linux users to access the site.

If you haven't voted in the poll, please do so. Remember, MSNBC is jointly owned by Microsoft, which makes the victory even sweeter!
