"Earlier in Fedora 11's development cycle, a list of planned features was released by the Fedora Project. Now, with less than one month until the big day, all (except one) of these features are marked to be 100% completed. First of all, Leonidas embarks on the quick-boot journey, boasting a 20 second startup time (up to the login screen). Ubuntu and Mandriva dramatically improved their bootup times, so Fedora couldn't afford to be left behind.
"Support for the latest filesystem wonders - EXT4 and Btrfs - is another anticipated highlight of Fedora 11 that promises to further improve your hard drive's performance. Moreover, EXT4 will be used as the default filesystem when installing the operating system. Leonidas will, of course, be available for both x86 and x86_64 architectures, but this time, even if you choose to install the 32-bit version on top of x86_64 hardware, the x86_64 kernel will be used."
