LinuxPR: Covalent Technologies to Export Strong Encryption Software

Mar 27, 2000, 23:27 (0 Talkback[s])

"RavenTM SSL E-Commerce Security Software for the Apache Web Server Now Available Worldwide."

"Covalent Technologies, Inc., the leading provider of Apache Web server e-commerce solutions, announced today that it will begin exporting its 128-bit Raven™ SSL strong encryption software product outside the US and Canada for the first time ever. Covalent estimates that this expansion into global markets will result in a 25 to 50% increase in sales of Raven SSL. Until recently, US law limited the export of encryption software from the US."

'We are pleased that we can now satisfy the demand abroad for our Raven SSL product,' said Randy Terbush, Chairman and CTO of Covalent Technologies. 'Now companies can standardize their Web security across the globe. This will not only make it easier for security-minded US corporations but it will also save them money.'"
