[ Thanks to Benjamin D. Thomas for this link. ]

This EnGarde Quick Start guide is designed to help you quickly set up EnGarde Secure Linux, change user passwords, and manage certificates. Although this document is sufficient, we recommend you read the complete user manual for a full understanding of the system.

EnGarde Secure Linux comes with an easy to use front-end for installing the operating system. Described in the following sections are the system requirements to successfully complete the installation and run EnGarde Secure Linux.

EnGarde Secure Linux also provides an easy to use interface for the initial configuration. The initial configuration is ran after installation to configure the software on the machine, as opposed to the installation which configures hardware. This interface requires you to configure it from another PC, via a cross-over cable to the machine containing EnGarde. The client PC can be any operating system and only requires a browser that supports SSL. (Netscape 4+ and IE 5+ will be fine for doing this.

The interface you will be using will guide you step-by-step through the set up process. We will also outline the steps in more detail in the manual. The Guardian Digital WebTool will provide the complete ability to configure your EnGarde System.
