Yeah, we know that Linux isn't better just because a Microsoft product fails. But this sort of news is important for anyone deciding between Linux and Windows: security is a legitimate issue that should be addressed.
As AP reports: "Microsoft's first major foray into the Internet security software business, a network security product called Internet Security and Acceleration, was released with a bug that could prompt a so-called 'denial of service' attack."
Meanwhile, InternetNews.com is reporting that Microsoft has issued a patch that fixes the bug. The bug may not be as serious as originally thought: a specific function (Web publishing) in Windows must be enabled for someone to exploit the security glitch.
