  • S.u.S.E. posts fix for NFS security hole (Oct 19, 1998, 13:23)
    Recently a security hole was discovered in the NFS server (rpc.mountd) that makes it possible for attackers to attain root access over the network. A security hole in libc5 that allows attackers to attain root access was also found.

    All S.u.S.E. Linux distributions are affected, including S.u.S.E. Linux 5.3.
