(Other stories by Mitch Wagner)

"Technauts tomorrow is set to deliver software providing fail-over and redundancy clusters for its eServer line of Linux-based Internet appliance servers. The software allows users to link pairs of the servers and, if one goes down, fire up another server to pick up the workload."

"Technauts offers hardware servers that are specialized for applications such as e-mail and workgroup Internet access; the clustering software is priced starting at $299...."

Red Hat is also developing a clustered file system, called Intermezzo, which enhances the ability for clustered servers to share storage."
