Gaetan Bisson has announced on September 17 that the /etc/sysctl.conf configuration file will be deprecated in the Arch Linux operating system, because of some modifications in the 207 version of the systemd package, which will no longer apply settings from the /etc/sysctl.conf file. They will only be applied from the /etc/sysctl.d/ directory.
