NoMachine announces the general availability of the latest update, version 4.1, of its desktop and server products for Linux, Windows and Mac OS X. NoMachine 4.1 is the result of four months of continual development, and functional and graphical refinements. Among the most outstanding improvements are: - Lightweight mode, speeding up virtual X-Window sessions for thin clients or when using lightweight desktop environments. - Big performance improvements in the Web Player from the Cloud Server (formerly Portal Server). - Complete IPv6 support in all products - Key-based authentication in the NX protocol. - Big performance improvements on Windows. - Server identification via Kerberos key exchange in SSH protocol. - Network browsing through mDNS integration. - Quick session launcher integrated in the system tray. - New wizard helping users to create new connections using a guided approach. - H.264 hardware-assisted decoding in the Windows and Mac players.
