This release features Linux 3.5 which is said will allow users to use GRUB 2 and chain load SimplyMEPIS from their Windows installs. Other components include GCC 4.7.1, X.Org X Server 1.12.3, and KDE 4.8.4. It ships with a full compliment of KDE applications and others such as Iceweasel 14.0.1, GIMP 2.8.0, luckyBackup 0.4.7, LibreOffice 3.5.4, and VLC.
