IPTraf 2.0.0 has been released. This is a major release that takes advantage of new features in the Linux 2.2 kernel. Those still with Linux 2.0.x will have to stick with IPTraf 1.4.3.

IPTraf is a statistics generator for IP networks. This software displays various network figures including TCP connection statistics, IP, TCP, UDP, ICMP packet and byte counts, network interface load figures (both total and incoming/outgoing), statistical breakdowns by TCP/UDP ports, and LAN station counts and loads.

It works on Ethernet, SLIP, PPP, FDDI, ISDN, PLIP, and loopback interfaces.

IPTraf is downloadable from:
ftp://ftp.cebu.mozcom.com/pub/linux/net/iptraf-2.0.0.tar.gz

and from Metalab (formerly known as Sunsite) at
ftp://metalab.unc.edu/pub/Linux/system/network/monitor/iptraf-2.0.0.tar.gz

The IPTraf home page is at
