"Are you one of those who feel that GNOME is bloated, slow, unstable, difficult to use and hard to configure?
"Well you are not alone..., it is not actually GNOME which is to blame for your problems. It is the window manager currently being shipped with GNOME, called Enlightenment. So what is wrong with Enlightenment you might ask?... it is designed with the intention of making it the best/coolest looking, most configurable out there and with as many fancy bells and whistles as possible... on a daily basis it means that the window manager steals a lot of resources from the rest of the system, making the whole thing kinda slow.
"... the GNOME team is laboring heavily to create smaller and faster window managers which will integrate easily with GNOME, I guess you will soon hear names such as wmG, Mosquito and Sawmill, which are the names on some of these new windowmanagers."
