"Like many people, I had high expectations for Corel's Linux
distribution. Fortunately, for me, I was, for the most part,
pleased with what they devised. Corel Linux is based on the Debian
Linux distribution and uses KDE for its desktop environment. The
end result is a distribution with a solid base and a very nice,
professional graphical environment to work in."
"The goal of this review is not, necessarily, to critique
the inner workings of Corel Linux, but more to give a tour of the
distribution, from install to basic usage. There are more than
a few observations along the way, however, and I try to take it
into perspective that this distribution is the one most targeted at
people who are familiar with MS Windows. I'm most familiar with
Redhat, Mandrake, and older versions of OpenLinux and Slackware (I
started out on Slackware way back when), so my experience is
colored by the use of those distributions."
