"Novell yesterday released its NDS eDirectory, an open,
standards-based directory, for the Linux platform. The NDS
Corporate Edition for Linux, a tool for administrators to centrally
manage corporate networks, was also made available."
"NDS eDirectory offers capabilities to integrate the Linux
platform with NetWare, Unix, Windows 2000, and Windows NT for
simplified network management under a single directory structure.
Novell said the product will let companies running Linux
conduct secure transactions with customers and partners who want to
use the Web as a primary channel for electronic business."
