"ErgoTech Systems, Inc., a leading developer of Java-based component software for manufacturing has released an updated version of its vanguard VIB software."

"This 3.0 release features many new lightweight graphical components and new control elements called Manipulators. The suite of JavaBeans are used to develop Java-based graphical user interfaces for monitoring and control of manufacturing equipment."

"These components are suited for a wide range of applications: from fully networked user interfaces to process machinery linked into existing factory automation systems, to Web-based applets for remote monitoring and control, to tiny self-contained applets hosted on small Web servers running within embedded controllers. All that is needed to view these applets is a Web browser. The VIB components can be imported as Java components into an off-the-shelf Java development system of choice. ErgoTech also offers a simple drag-and-drop tool, the Virtual Instrumentation Constructor for testing the components and developing basic applets. This VIC is free of charge from ErgoTech's Web site and does not require any Java programming."
