AppWatch: Samba 2.0.7 released

The Samba Team just announce the latest stable version of Samba. This new release has been tested with Windows 2000 and has no known issues with that Windows release. Many performance improvements were made, along with the addition of new options for utmp handling, write caching, administration, and a lot of bugfixes. The O'Reilly book "Using Samba" has been donated to the Samba community and is included with this release in HTML format. All users are recommened to upgrade.

"The Samba software suite is a collection of programs that implements the Server Message Block (commonly abbreviated as SMB) protocol for UNIX systems. This protocol is sometimes also referred to as the Common Internet File System (CIFS), LanManager or NetBIOS protocol."
