Both projects released preview versions of their upcoming stable series (GNOME 1.2 and KDE 2.0). While not intended for production environments, they should be stable enough for personal use.

GNOME 1.1.90:

"Dubbed 'Octothorp GNOME'. This is hopefully the final beta before GNOME 1.2. The tarball contains: bug-buddy 0.90, GHex 1.1.3, GGv 0.95, gnome-libs 1.0.61, gnome-applets 1.1.90, gnome-core 1.1.90, gnome-games 1.1.90, gnome-pilot 0.1.52,
