"...Since I have the Corel Linux OS running on one of my computers, it didn't take me long to install the suite. In fact, once I found a knife to cut through the shrink wrap, opened the package and extracted the CD, it took no more than six minutes to do the installation. I've been using the software for a week, during which time I've gone through many of the typical tasks performed with an office suite of applications. I'm continuing to work with WP Office 2K, which will surely lead to additional insights over time, but I already have enough information to write this review."

"WP Office 2000 for Linux is available in Standard Edition and Deluxe Edition. Both versions contain the download version of the Corel Linux OS, WordPerfect 9, Quattro Pro 9, Corel Presentations 9 and CorelCentral 9. The Deluxe Edition also offers more clipart images, fonts and photos than the Standard Edition, as well as some games, Netscape Communicator and Paradox 9, the relational database. For the relatively modest price difference, I would recommend the Deluxe Edition as the better value, even if you don't think you need a relational database."

"...For now, the bottom line on Corel WP Office 2000 for Linux is that it works well, despite occasional sluggish performance. It is as compatible as any suite on the market and is a bargain at a suggested price of $149 and $199 for the Standard and Deluxe Editions, respectively. It is even more of a bargain at the street price, which I encourage you to investigate yourself."
