Open Source E-Commerce Apps

OpenSales provides a pair of open source E-Commerce modules that are free to download from the OpenSales development Web site. OpenSales AllCommerce provides multiple modules for the presentation and merchandising of products and OpenSales Retailer adds online specific functions including a wish list, gift registry service, and default HTML store templates to jump-start online store front creations. Key features of the modules include support for multiple currencies and languages, barcode support, and "two-layer server technology" for parallel server operations.

OpenSales AllCommerce contains 6 modules:

The Content Manager and the Merchandising Manager together control the creation of product related material for display as well as how that information is displayed to the user, taking into account customer buying patterns and cross/up sell information provided by the merchandisers.

The Statistics Manager offers customer traffic analysis.

The Order Manager and the Inventory Manager handle the ordering, shipping, and accounting of products in real-time (with unlimited warehouse support).

The Administrator provides for the management of admin contact info.

The initial release of the OpenSales modules are free to download and are available now.
