"When I was given the chance to review the Linux port of Heroes of Might and Magic III (HOM3), I jumped at the chance. I had wanted to try the game anyway and the prospect of playing a full commercial game in Linux was just too enticing to resist."
"While the game is terrific, there are a couple of problems. First and foremost is the game's tutorial. I am starting to get tired of companies shipping "electronic documentation" on the CD, rather than providing a print copy. When you start the tutorial it tells you the documentation needs to be "printed out" from the CD. That's not so great for those of us who don't have a printer."
"...I have never played a Might and Magic game of any kind before, so not knowing the game universe won't be a problem. If, like me, you're into games that engage your mind rather than your reflexes, then HOM3 is well worth the effort."
