Re-Imagining Linux Platforms to Meet the Needs of Cloud Service Providers
"Appgen Business Software, Inc., formally announced the
formation of a full-fledged Professional Services Group, with
Patricia-Ann Tankel as its director. A joint statement issued by
Appgen chief technical officer Errol Allahverdi and channel manager
Tony Repole states that "Appgen's position as a leader in the VAR
channel depends as much on our support services as our technology,
so we want to assure our VARs and business end-users that Appgen
will always be there, regardless of the pace of technological
change or sales growth."
"The Professional Services Group will offer professional
consultation, programming, database conversions, and other hands-on
services directly to Appgen VARs who may want to expand their own
service capabilities or expedite their own customer service.
"This group will also offer online end-user demos for our VARs,"
said Mr. Repole, "because end-users really appreciate a strong
working relationship between their VAR and the manufacturer - and
that's what Appgen is all about."
"Ms Tankel's history with Appgen assures a top notch
professional services group. She has been immersed in every aspect
of Appgen software since she was first employed in the company's
Applications Development Department in 1987. In recognition of her
contribution to what subsequently became known as "the best tech
support group in the industry", she was promoted to head that group
in 1995, and again promoted in 1998 to director of operations and
now to the position of director of professional services."
