Re-Imagining Linux Platforms to Meet the Needs of Cloud Service Providers

"Intel Corporation and SAGEport Inc., a provider of integrated Internet services for seniors, today announced that SAGEport would deliver the Intel Dot.Station web appliance to consumers later this year as part of its new Internet service bundle targeted for seniors."

"The all-in-one bundle, known as SAGEvision, includes an Intel Dot.Station web appliance, an ISP service that will provide quick access to the Internet and SAGEport.com, a senior-friendly community and marketplace on the Internet. SAGEvision also includes an ergonomically designed keyboard and integrated trackball created specifically for seniors."

"The Intel Dot.Station web appliance is a perfect match for the SAGEvision service bundle and we are happy to have SAGEport as one of our first U.S. customers," said Claude Leglise, vice president, Intel Architecture Group, and general manager of the Home Products Group. "SAGEport's focus on seniors makes the easy-to-use Intel Dot.Station web appliance a natural choice."

"Of the 59 million seniors in this country, 47 million are not online. SAGEvision aims to remove the barriers standing between millions of seniors and the Internet."
