"Source code for SashXB for Linux open source project is now available under the LGPL license at Gnome.org. SashXB for Linux is a "from the ground up" rewrite of Sash targeted at the Linux desktop. It uses the Mozilla Gecko HTML layout engine, the Xerces XML parser and a number of Gnome components as its primitives. The frameworks for the SashXB weblication manager and the WDE (weblication development environment IDE) are in place thanks to the efforts of two Extreme Blue teams."

"Sash can be thought of as technology that maps the native Application Programming Interfaces (API's) provided by an operating system and it's particular Graphical User Interfaces to ones that are straightforward enough to be useful to web page developers."
