"Not to be confused with Galeon -- the light GNOME browser based on Gecko -- K-Meleon is billed as "the Windows answer to Galeon," according to the K-Meleon Web site."

"A first beta of K-Meleon was posted to the Web on Monday and is available for download. K-Meleon is available under the GNU private license, meaning the full source code is available to developers interested in building upon the browser."

"Like Galeon, as well as the Opera browser, K-Meleon's biggest claim to fame is its small size and fast loading time. The full K-Meleon package, including the installer, is 2.85MB. The "lite" version, which requires the M17 Mozilla beta build in order to install, is only 183KB."
