"Bluepoint Linux Software today announced that it received two
awards on " `Yesky Cup' 2000 Computer Week Reader Survey Award
Banquet" held on August 31 in Beijing, China. Once a year, Computer
Week conducts a large scale survey, in which various IT products'
market share and reader's preference are surveyed. The winner in
each category is awarded "Yesky Cup". Based on this year's
survey result, Bluepoint was awarded for number one in Linux
Operating System Market Share and number one in Reader's First
Choice Brand. Computer Week is one of the most popular computer
publications in China. Yeskey is the name of a popular website
in China. Owned by Computer Week, Yeskey (www.yeskey.com) has been
listed by CNNIC (China Internet Network Information Center) in "Ten
Best Chinese Web Sites" for five consecutive times."
"The company today also made comments on a news reported on
China Daily, the most prestigious English publication in China. The
news article reported that Bluepoint plans to bring its embedded
division IPO on Hong Kong Second Board in the second quarter of
next year. The company confirmed that it has signed an agreement
with a well-known Hong Kong firm, which will serve as Bluepoint's
financial consultant and lead underwriter. The Hong Kong firm will
also help the company raise funding before the planned IPO."
