"TestBuilder C++ Testbench Class Library to be Available
Through Open Source License; Developer's Forum Launched."
"Cadence Design Systems, Inc. (NYSE:CDN), the world's leading
supplier of electronic design products and services, today
announced that it would make its TestBuilder C++ testbench class
library available through open source licensing -- the first such
tool to be available on this basis. The company will provide free
and open access to its TestBuilder library -- as well as on-going
source code management -- as the community of developers
"This move will allow designers, IP developers, and EDA vendors
to develop interoperable testbenches for chip or system design
verification. In addition, Cadence announced the initial
participants in a Developers Forum, which includes Sun
Microsystems, CynApps, and ASIC Alliance. Developers Forum
participants receive a high level of support and direct access to
the TestBuilder development team."
