"I entered the 4th annual Atlanta Linux Showcase with many goals in mind. There were several very important questions that I needed to ask. There was one that seemed really important. Why is AOL at a Linux show?"

"Intending to get a good answer, I went straight up to the two AOL guys at their booth and asked, "Why is AOL here?" They appeared to have a sudden mood shift, as if no one had asked them this question yet. The first guy, obviously having no desire to answer, looked to the second guy and said, "Do you want to take this one?"

"The second AOL guy started off by asking if I hated AOL. Actually, he asked, "Do you have any misconceptions about AOL?" I replied by telling him no, and that I happened to use AOL on a Win9x machine. This was only partially true. I do in fact use AOL, but I do also have many problems with it."
