Nov 13, 2000, 23:06 (0 Talkback[s])

"With Exterprise, PartnerAxis Offers First Ever Linux e-Marketplace for Manufacturers, Suppliers and Consumers."

"Exterprise Inc., a leading provider of collaborative commerce platforms and applications for e-markets, and PartnerAxis, the leading Linux channel market maker, today introduced the first comprehensive e-marketplace for the Linux channel. This Linux e-marketplace, built on the Linux operating system, will let manufacturers reach key Linux channels, help value-added resellers increase margins and provide end-users a one-stop shop to channel providers and products. PartnerAxis will use Exterprise's process-based software solution, ActiveMarket, to provide an extensive range of collaborative market services for software vendors, service providers, distributors and value-added re-sellers. Keane, a leading business and information technology (IT) consulting firm, will be the systems integrator working with Exterprise to deploy the site, which is expected to go live in February."

"We looked at many providers of marketplace software before selecting Exterprise and its process-based ActiveMarket solution," said Dean Taylor, founder and CEO of PartnerAxis. "None could deliver a dynamic solution to help us leverage key relationships and personalize solutions across the Linux channel, not to mention help us rapidly boost transactions, liquidity and multi-party relationships in the emerging Linux value chain. Ultimately, Exterprise's ActiveMarket was the only solution that could differentiate the PartnerAxis collaborative marketplace to this degree."
