"Getting started programming in c++ is easy. All you need is to make sure you have gcc compiler and some required libraries and what not. Then you need to know how to use a text editor in order to type in your program and then you need to know the command to compile your program source code into an executable that you can run from the command line."
"We won't necessarily be going into the details on all of these things today but I hope to cover most of them over the course of a few articles. Today we will assume that your system has the required tools installed and you're ready to rumble."
