The theme of SGI's Global Developer Conference will be "Developing the Future." The conference was created in an effort to educate software developers on the wide range of technology development opportunities using SGI technology."

"The first annual SGI Global Developer Conference on IRIX and Linux will be held at the Hyatt Regency in Burlingame, Calif., on March 19-22, 2001. The conference is targeted to software developers who create solutions for the technical and creative users."
