"Telia, the largest ISP and telecommunications company in Scandinavia,and IBM will officially announce tomorrow that Telia is pulling seventy web hosting Sun servers from service and replacing them with asingle IBM S/390 G6 server hosting more than 1500 virtual Linux servers simultaneously."
"The mainframe and an 11.4 terabyte IBM Enterprise Storage Server ("Shark") will provide Telia's customers in Scandinavian countries with business and consumer-grade Internet services, and offer Internet Protocol/Virtual Private Network (IP/VPN) services as well. According to IBM representatives, the deal is worth around $3 million, with more revenue to come as capacity is added to the system."
