Re-Imagining Linux Platforms to Meet the Needs of Cloud Service Providers

[ Thanks to Cameron Cooper for this announcement: ]

Phat Linux v3.3 Beta 2 has just been released. It has many new features, including KDE 2.0. Along with KDE 2.0, Phat Linux also has Koffice preinstalled, XFree86 3.3.6, the 2.2.15 Linux kernel, and a few more handy updates. Users are encouraged to try the beta release of v3.3 and let us know how they like it.

Phat Linux is a distribution of Linux which is installed, through Windows, on a DOS partition. It is meant to save new and experimenting users the trouble and risk of repartitioning their hard drives.

Phat Linux v3.3 has a new Windows based installer, which literally makes the install process possible in 1 mouse click! Once Phat Linux is installed, it will also detect your hardware, and configure it for you. You should be able to run X without a single configuration!

It is available in ZIP format at: http://cameron.phatlinux.net/PhatLinux33Beta2.zip.

The Phat Linux website is also available at: http://www.phatlinux.com/.
