"Corel will, on Tuesday, detail its plan to restore
profitability. But pundits are divided over whether it has decided
to dispose of its Linux interests."
"The Canadian software developer is due to make a major
announcement to quell speculation over its future. Though the firm
is a minnow, in revenue terms, it remains key to many IT
departments, thanks to its ownership of the WordPerfect Office
application suite, the CorelDraw graphics package, and a
multi-pronged push to develop more usable desktop software for
Linux."
"Corel declined to comment on its plans, but in an official
statement said the announcement will cover "every product line,
technology group and sales channel."
