"Christian: Mandrake has positioned itself as a bridge builder between the GNOME and KDE communities. In what areas do you think Mandrake might be able to mediate better communication between the communities?"
"Gaël: We help by pushing KDE and GNOME developers to meet and discuss, inside and outside Mandrakesoft. Furthermore, as Mandrake provides both KDE and GNOME, we have around 45% of our users who use KDE, around 45% who use GNOME and 10% who use others (like IceWM, Blackbox, WindowMaker...). It's really easy to see that because we receive hundreds of users' screenshots that show that. The result is that most of our users really don't care about being a GNOME fan or a KDE fan. I can see everyday that our users choose an environment but run some apps from the other environment. They take the best from each! That's really nice in my eyes."
